Summer summer

Crew was certainly bummed to be done with preschool but we have jumped into Summer with both feet, trying to get a better schedule in place with the two boys. Thankfully they are both easy going enough that we can mix things up a bit, experiment, without epic meltdowns.

Once he got over the disappointment of having to hit off the tee, Crew has really enjoyed tball. He hits hard and loves when it is his turn to grab the ball and run it to first base. Just like with soccer, treats seem to be the most exciting part of the game, but he is also great at sumersaults in the field and keeping warm between innings. (We had a game last week where the temps were in the windy 50s.)

Our summer reading program has a science theme. Here is Crew putting up his bubble. He loves to read and mark off his chart.

Summer seems to require plenty of cold sweet treats. We love to walk to a local treat/hamburger place around the corner. We have also tried our hands at homemade Popsicles.

Crews courage at swim lessons in growing. Floating, blowing boubles, back swims, doggy paddles and jumping are his favorites.

Walker remains a perfect champ and is always ready for the next adventure.

Dad's Day

Because Coles golf trip was part of his Father's Day this year, most of our celebration was tied to food and just letting him know that we think he is the best!

The highlight of the day for crew was getting to bring breakfast in bed to Cole. The bacon infused waffles were a big hit and as you can see, even Walker tried to get in on the action.

My parents spent the weekend in Colorado with my dad's parents so dinner celebrations included grilled yummies while watching Crew jump on the tramp and just have fun.

I am so grateful for Cole and the awesome person he is. Work is busy and can be difficult when you have little kids, but he never brings it home. When he is here, we get all of him and he always willing to help with the boys, play catch, build forts, you name it.
