Happy Love Day

Even though it is now Tuesday, I am still basking in the fun of a much-needed long weekend. In addition to the day off, Cole and I were lucky enough to have two house guests!

Ashley and Jarad were in town celebrating his grandpa's birthday and as hosts we got to steal them for the better part of the weekend.

Among the fun activities, the boys took us to Tepanyaki for a wonderful Valentines dinner. It was my first time at a hibachi grill and I had a blast as our cook sliced, diced, threw and prepared each portion of our meal.

Besides the good food and entertainment, it was awesome to have such good friends here to share it. Love you guys!

Riding in Style

Confession, folks.

We are pretty obsessed with the child-to-be.

The photos below will only begin to prove our nerdiness when it comes to preparing for the lil man.

So thanks to the generosity of both the Bukey and Lansford grandparents, our tyke's Chicco Key Fit Stroller arrived earlier this week. After an immediate and pretty painless assembly, we were itchin' to take this baby for a test ride.

Cole, ever the cautious daddy, wanted to figure out how all the snaps, levers and pulls would work.

Using our only available model, Cole and I tracked about the house taking the "baby" in and out of the carrier, stroller and base.
Watch out road, this baby is ready to ride in style!

A La Basement Bathroom

Although this project has been done for a couple months now, I still thought it would be fun to post a few pictures of our finished basement bathroom. For those of you who don't remember what we started with, the bathroom used to consist of a vanity and a sadly misplaced toilet. We decided to add an oversized shower and replace both the old toilet and vanity and tile the floor. Add a bright splash of color to the walls, super sexy glass tiles and a few white towels/accessories and, Wallah!

Planning for the Photo Shoot

I will admit that coming back to work after a long and busy tradeshow week led my mind to wander towards some more superficial baby planning today...

Forget the fact that the baby bed featured in the post below and a few pairs of baby shoes is all we have to show for the last 7.5 months of pregnancy....I am ready to plan for the newborn photo shoot!

A few well spent minutes on etsy.com helped me come up with a few favorites for the standard "naked newborn with cute head gear" photos we have to look forward to. Feel free to weight in on your favorites!

I think this elfish special from deusprovidebit might be delightful.

Although this one from knitrgal might be perfect for our little pea in the pod.

From the same vendor, just cause we hope this little one doesn't fall too far from the tree....

I love the colors and brim of this one by preppypeach but wonder if it would be better once he is older?

In case baby lansford shares his father's first love, ForStitchesSake has us covered.

And my personal favorite. adriennekinsella's design will show who will be the king of our house.

Baby's Got a Bed

One word....

SWOON!

Thank you, oh thank you Clearance "As Is" section of RC Willey's outlet store. You have helped me achieve my dream of owning this simple, beautiful and "oh so modern" crib.

The babe is kicking with excitement.

O.K.

Needless to say, this mommy-to-be is chomping at the bit to get cracking on the rest of the nursery.
