What's In a Name?

With just a week left before we meet baby Lansford, the topic of the lil one's name is a frequent source of conversation.

As a nod to tradition, the baby's middle name will be Wesley to show proper respect to the many other first born Lansford men before him.

Oh, and did I mention that I am totally cheesy and want the baby to have the same monogram as Cole so we are limited to "C" first names only?

I put up a poll on the side of the blog with a few of our top name choices and would be interested to know which ones our friends and family like best. If you have a moment of baby-naming inspiration and want to add a name to our list of "Names to Consider"...let us know. We are still open!

We are pretty sure we won't make a final decision until we officially meet the bundle of joy but a list of top two or three names would sure help the "crazy planner" in me feel more prepared.

Casey think that you should name your child "Casey." He says it's, "a strong family name from the olden country." We are so excited for you guys!

One of my friends just had a baby named Caden and I like that name and Cade. Casey likes Cannon. Good luck!

You are too funny! I can't believe it is happening so soon! Craziness! My favs are Cannon or Conner or Cade (although I've always thought of Kade with a K, not C, so that kind of takes that out of the running). Can't wait for the big day!!

That is a tough choice. I like them all so much, though I don't remember Cedric being in the running the at the baby shower :)

I still love Cannon and Cale...but if you never use them...I might! Isn't Cedric an African American name? That's my thought!

We had a wonderful family name picked out for our first baby. He was born and giving him that name was just...wrong! It didn't fit him at all. We tried so hard to make it work and it didn't.

So, who knows--maybe inspiration will strike when you see him.

If not, Clint sounds really tough for a kid, but when he's grown up, Clinton sounds very mature.

Good luck!

best of luck you guys! I don't think you'll go wrong with any of those names. My personal favorite is Conner. Very exiting days ahead---good luck!!! Enjoy it all. :)

Hey guys!
Hope you don't mind me blog stalking :)
I can't believe you only have a few days left until you meet your little man. Seems like Mitch just barely told me you were expecting.

You'll know what his name should be when you meet him... that's just how it seems to work :)
